Charlie Greene is an account coordinator in the public affairs firm of Blakey & Agnew, LLC, which manages several transportation-related initiatives. In his role, Charlie provides governmental affairs and media relations services for the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA). IANA is North America’s Leading industry trade association representing the combined interests of the intermodal freight industry. Some of Charlie’s responsibilities for IANA included tracking regulatory updates and monitoring legislative proceedings. He also assists in the development of press releases, media alerts, and story pitches for IANA.
Charlie also serves as the main point of contact for Woolpert’s Aviation Advisory Board. Woolpert, Inc is a design, geospatial and infrastructure management firm that integrates services and applies technologies to benefit its clients. Charlie assists with content development for the group’s meetings and plans meeting logistics. He also helps to manage the website and social media accounts of The Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC), a coalition dedicated to the expansion and modernization of America’s freight and goods movement infrastructure.
Prior to joining Blakey & Agnew, Charlie interned for Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson of South Florida. While in her office he worked on legislative and policy initiatives as well as assisting her press team with social media and drafting press materials. He also served AmeriCorps with City Year, Washington, D.C. previously. While in college, Charlie interned for Senator Kay Hagan of North Carolina and sold advertisements for the Daily Tar Heel.
Charlie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Journalism and a second major in Political Science. Charlie is a native of High Point, North Carolina.
