Charlie Greene is an account coordinator in the public affairs firm of Blakey & Agnew, LLC, which manages several transportation-related initiatives. In his role, Charlie provides governmental affairs and media relations services for the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA). IANA is North America’s Leading industry trade association representing the combined interests of the intermodal freight industry. Some of Charlie’s responsibilities for IANA included tracking regulatory updates and monitoring legislative proceedings.
Charlie also helps to manage the website and social media accounts of The Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC), a coalition dedicated to the expansion and modernization of America’s freight and goods movement infrastructure.
Prior to joining Blakey & Agnew, Charlie interned for Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson of South Florida. While in her office he worked on legislative and policy initiatives as well as assisting her press team with social media and drafting press materials. He also served AmeriCorps with City Year, Washington, D.C. previously. While in college, Charlie interned for Senator Kay Hagan of North Carolina and sold advertisements for the Daily Tar Heel.
Charlie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Journalism and a second major in Political Science. Charlie is a native of High Point, North Carolina.
