Katie Cross is an associate in the public affairs firm Blakey & Agnew, LLC, which manages several transportation-related initiatives including the Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC). In her role, Katie manages member communications and policy for CAGTC. She oversees website development, CAGTC social media, and the bi-monthly newsletter. Katie also oversees website development and social media for NAFTANEXT.
In addition to her work with CAGTC and NAFTANEXT, Katie provides governmental affairs and media relations services for the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA). IANA is North America’s Leading industry trade association representing the combined interests of the intermodal freight industry. Katie’s responsibilities for IANA include tracking regulatory updates and monitoring legislative proceedings.
Katie is also the main point of contact for the Woolpert Aviation Advisory Board, assisting in meeting logistics and content development.
Katie previously served in the role of account coordinator at Blakey & Agnew. In this position, Katie aided with governmental affairs work for IANA, and helped manage the CAGTC website and social media accounts, among other duties.
Prior to joining Blakey & Agnew, Katie interned at the Ecology Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. While there she worked on legislative and policy initiatives as well as on the beginning stages of campaign planning. She also held an internship with the US Department of State during which time she served in the Front Office at the US Embassy in Madrid, Spain. In this position, Katie helped to draft speeches, planned Embassy events, and translated articles for Embassy staff.
Katie graduated from the University of Michigan with B.A.s in Political Science and International Studies. Katie is a native of Johns Creek, Georgia.
